Self Employment In The Arts
(SEA) Conference 2008

The Self Employment in the Arts Conference is set to come around again this year on Saturday, April 12. The one day event features three “tracks”, literary, visual and performing arts, with speakers who represent the field with their successes. A central theme will provide an overview of the business side of creative industries, covering key topics such as legal issues, finding success on your own terms and collaboration.

The event, although open to anyone, caps off at only 225 attendees, and judging from last years attendance, it is likely to sell out. Registration is $60 regular, and $35 for students and can be done online at www.seaconf.com or at the door at 8:15am, the day of the event. The fee includes all sessions, meals and a reception (which is great for networking).
